5 content tips for beginners
It's time.
You are ready to let the world know you are an expert in your field, ready for a new position, ready for getting in front of a wider audience. โฃ
โฃWhich can only mean - it is time to write more articles and blog posts.
โฃBut where on earth do you even begin? Here are some tips to get you started:โฃ

This is one of my favourite toys - just put in your keyword and it will give you dozens of (sometimes hilariously useless) headlines. A great help when you are on a tight deadline ran out of coffee or are trying to come up with something for 3 hours. This nifty little tool can also be of help if you are stuck on ideas and need inspiration.โฃ If nothing else, it will make you laugh. Give it a go.

We tend to save sites we found useful or interesting - and then forget about them (or is that just me?). Not helpful. Have a good rummage through your own collection - there might be a hidden topic gem you were not aware of. I have a dedicated folder for my favourites and scan through them twice a week for both content and inspiration.

Like everything in your business, your content should be backed up by a strategy. You want to get in front of your ideal audience, become an authority in your field and ensure the algorithm notices you? Then you need a road map. Outline the idea for each article at the beginning of each week - if you can even on the first of every month. Planning ahead will also help you to avoid the infamous writerโs block and ensure you will post consistently even if you are facing a sudden work emergency.

You created great headlines, worked your way through all the browser folders and scheduled your posts - now it's time to check the impact of all your effort. Your readers are fickle - they might LOVE a post that took you 10 minutes to write and shun your carefully curated article. The problem: You won't know that unless you have a look at your statistics. Which posts get the most views and engagement? Keep these in mind when outlining your upcoming content - and donโt forget your SEO and keyword search! โฃ

What do you want to achieve this quarter? How should that show in your posts? It pays to be specific in this area. Replace "more clients" with "I want to get two more clients for my new retainer package" and work towards that goal. Have your long term objectives in mind when writing - keeping them next to you in front of a post-it will help. Do you enjoy someone else's content and get inspired by it? Great! Just don't get sidetracked and veer off course. Clients will choose you for your personality - they don't need a copy of another person.
